How to Become a Financial Analyst after Completing Your CFA® Preparation
To earn a charter, CFA® candidates must successfully pass three rigorous exams dealing with investment topics. Candidates must pass each exam before passing on to the next level exam. The exams are rigorous and are comprised of two three-hour sessions.
The first exam is heavily focused on basic tools and concepts, the second exam moves more towards an investment analyst focus, while the last exam focuses on the duties, responsibilities, and activities of a professional investment advisor.
Once a candidate has successfully completed all three exams, they must prove sufficient work experience in the field of investments as defined by the CFA® Institute before being allowed to use the designation. There is an Ethical and Professional Standards component on each exam.

As a reminder, sitting for these exams is not required for our MSAPM program.
